Funded by the Sacramento County Division of
Mental Health, Project New Direction provides intensive community
services to individuals identified through Jail Psychiatric
Services. The primary goal is to prevent individuals with
psychiatric disabilities from needlessly cycling through the
criminal justice system by providing key services that will
impact this cycle.
Services offered by Project New Direction include:
- Case Management
- Medication Assessment and Monitoring
- Substance Abuse treatment
- Assistance with Medical Care
- Skills Building Activities
Project New Direction is currently filled to capacity. Efforts
continue to secure additional funding to be able to provide
additional quality services to clients that have experienced
both the mental health and the criminal justice system. Check
back often for Project New Direction updates.
