Palmer Apartments

The Palmer Apartments program is a short-term interim housing program for adults who are experiencing homelessness and have a psychiatric disability. It provides a safe, hospitable alternative to the shelters and allows individuals the opportunity to get off the streets. Palmer is a cooperative apartment setting which provides safe, affordable housing, independent living skills training and mental health recovery support. Staff works with residents on an individual as well as group basis in developing the skills necessary to secure and maintain permanent, affordable housing in the community. Clients and staff work collaboratively on a goal plan that is designed to assist them in breaking the cycle of homelessness. Twenty-four hour staffing is provided.


Downtown Cooperatives

The Downtown Cooperatives consists of two (2) supportive housing communities where individuals live cooperatively to help reduce the stress and expense of living independently. Residents are involved in menu planning and cooking, house and grounds maintenance, problem-solving, and decision-making regarding issues of interest for all members of the Co-Op. Residents have the opportunity to work on personal goals with the Residential Program Advisor. One of the Co-Ops is specifically designed for people diagnosed with HIV or AIDS, who have a psychiatric disability and are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. The Co-Ops are designed for those who would like a supportive community in which to live. A staff member is available to assist clients in refining and developing their skills and setting the goals necessary to assist with their mental health recovery. 


Cardosa Village Apartments
Cardosa Village, situated in South Sacramento, is a supportive housing program for adults with psychiatric disabilities and their families. Its 20 rental apartments are a mix of one, two and three bedroom units in a beautifully landscaped setting that includes a playground and community room.  An on-site program advisor assists residents with their mental health recovery.

Bell Street Apartments

This program provides affordable, furnished, shared apartments for clients who are able to live independently with minimal structured support. A staff member is available to assist clients in refining and developing the skills and goals necessary to assist with their mental health recovery. 

 
Folsom Oaks Apartments

Folsom Oaks Apartments is a community for adults with psychiatric disabilities and their families. It consists of 18 one, two and three bedroom rental apartments are located in a five-building complex on 1.2 acres  in a Colonial-style setting near Old Town in Folsom, with landscaped walkways, a tot lot, picnic area and a community room where families can enjoy educational and recreational activities. TLCS provides information and referral, outreach services, independent living skills training, and community support services to the residents.
